Zion National Park is located in the neighbouring state of Utah, in the Springdale community. Framed by towering mountains, it makes for a dramatic daytrip from Las Vegas. Everywhere you turn picture perfect vistas meet the eye and with a number of trails including those leading out from the main canyon, there’s no shortage of opportunities to get back to nature.
The Park is home to a diverse mix of animals and plant life, with around 75 species of mammal living in the park, 265 types of birds and over 800 varieties of plants. Park Rangers hold talks and conducted guided walks throughout the day.
Keen hikers can also arrange their own day and overnight hikes to cover the challenging terrain and take in the dramatic scenery. One of the most popular route takes in the Narrows, a hike along the river’s path through gorges and canyons.
