The Bunkhouse

If the name alone doesn’t give the theme of The Bunkhouse away, the large wagon wheel that marks the entrance to the Fremont Street bar surely will. Fitted out inside with wooden beams, stucco walls, oversized photos of western gun slingers and oodles of tack (of the horse variety), The Bunkhouse is a western bar full of western spirit matched only by its obvious commitment to all things sports.

One wall is taken over by a giant screen while almost a dozen others blast out the latest game on ESPN. Leather recliners make catching a game quite a comfortable prospect but beware you don’t show up in your favorite jersey on karaoke night – that’s when the big screen turns music station and everyone’s invited up on stage to do their worst.

Traditional down home snacks fill the menu, starting with breakfast and ending with Frito Pie. Order one and kick back. Live music is also a regular occurrence with any number of genres covered.
