Rio Secco Golf Club Las Vegas Overview
Originators of the famous T-Mate Caddie program, the Rio Secco Golf Course Las Vegas is a product of a 1997 design by respected golf architect, Rees Jones. Set in the foothills of the Black Mountain range, the course is just less than 14 miles from the centre of Las Vegas, so is easily accessible for a morning or afternoon tee time.
The course has a number of combinations – for experienced Las Vegas golf pros, the course is a par-72, 7,400 yard challenge from start to finish. But, for those who are less experienced, a selection of four teeing grounds if offered. This makes Rio Secco a course suited to most player levels. The course designer has made the most of the natural resources and proximity to Vegas, with six holes given over to city views and a further six overlooking the desert.
Tiger Wood’s former coach Butch Harmon has a golf school and teaching facility at Rio Secco.
