Learn about the forces of nature at this Las Vegas attraction
Although the springs themselves dried up almost half a century ago, Springs Preserve aims to keep their memory alive. This educational, historical, scientific and geological Las Vegas attraction details geological history of the Mojave Desert and the formation of the Las Vegas Valley and the springs.
Once drenched in water, the 180 acre facility is as much a journey back into Las Vegas’ past as it is a glimpse into the future thanks to its efforts to educate visitors about conservation and the synergy that exists between the desert and the Las Vegas casinos, hotels and attractions that make the city such a popular tourist destination.
There are several areas of interest within Springs Preserve, but the best way to truly appreciate it is simply to wander around with an open mind and keen eye for detail. The attraction is overflowing with facts and figures as well as more hands on exhibits and displays such as the children’s fossil dig and numerous videos. Be sure not to miss the Flash floods demo or the People of the Springs Gallery.
