Brush up on your natural history while in Las Vegas at the Marjorie Barrick Museum
Set in the grounds of the University of Nevada, the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Natural History is a Mesoamerican art treasure trove with thousands of pieces spanning two millennia on display. Carefully curated, the exhibitions include a fascinating collection of masks, telling tales of religious, ritualistic and social traditions from centuries passed.
While the museum’s collection is undeniably spectacular, there’s none of the stuffiness you often associate with museums – this is a Las Vegas attraction after all! As well as musical instruments to play, kids can dig up buried artefacts and bring history to life.
